A part of my pie crust fell off and ended up in the slat at the bottom of the oven. It started to burn and it was not a small fire. I had it out in 10 seconds but if I didn’t notice, it would have been very bad.
ALWAYS keep a box of baking soda right next to your oven. NOT above because if the flames are big, you won’t be able to reach it. NEXT to the stove.
I had to throw one pie away for the baking soda…. and one pie started on fire (over the flame).
It could have been so bad if I wasn’t walking by and see the oven full of flames. Holy moly…. could have been sooooo bad.
