Proof as to why my “natural” planter is getting smaller by the day. It is also so nice and ” fluffy and bushy”. What do you think she is up to? Look close ……
UPDATE…. No one can see her. She is behind the tomato plant standing on the railing. Look behind the yellow flower on the plant. The first photo on left is how she has picked it apart so much that the dirt is dropping threw the bottom. Please stop Mrs Bird, my flowers are in there. (well, they were lol)
I watched her pick it until she had her mouth “loaded”. She then flew to a nearby tree. She did it about 10 times. I waited and waited to take more pictures, but I think she gave up for dinner time.
I wonder if this bird is the baby that left the nest about May. Her first flight from the nest was right here on this deck. Momma bird was never worried about me, I just talked to them daily and walked by the nest daily. I always said ” Hi Baby Birds, Hello Momma Bird”. I did it every day since I noticed the nest with eggs under the deck. Oh did I mention that I also make sure they have a clean pan of water every day? What? It’s hot out there , I’d give you something to drink if you were here. *smile*
In case you can’t tell. There is a bird tearing my planter apart for her nest. She thinks she is sneaky.
