Frosted Apple Bars

These were very good. Everytime you make them, they will taste a little different. It will depend on the type of apples, the sweetness, or the humidity etc.

A big glass of Ice Cold Milk and Yummmm !

I have used a different apples. Be sure to adjust the sugar.

Slice them into a large bowl with Lemon juice and toss.

Now add the sugar, cinnamon, flour toss

Don’t look at the crust below, I made a large one so I had to piece them together. ( hey… you roll one 17 inches and end up with it being “perfect”. smile)

Oh look its starting to cook. You can see my vent holes

Yep, almost done !

Ok, all done. I will let it cool and then put the glaze on it.

Here’s the glaze ready to meet the apple bars.

They’re cool enough, time to glaze.

Wait for the glaze to harden before cutting or covering.

Oops, the knife slipped and cut out a piece. ( wink )

I cut the pan into bars and wrapped them with plastic wrap. I then put them into a Ziploc bag and put them in the freezer.

When I make lunches,  I put them right into the lunch frozen and it will defrost by the time it is eaten.
