Today was one of those days were everything that I did took forever. I mean even the simple stuff like watering the plants took about 4 hours. No, really!
I started filling the watering can, then I noticed that I forgot to start the dishwasher. I filled it with soap and started. While there I Then noticed that the dish towel from yesterday so I took it to the laundry room.
There I noticed that the load of clothes in washer needed to be put in the dryer. Nothing worse than a load of clothes drying in the washer ( smile ).
Then I noticed that I had to finish watering the plants so I went back in the kitchen to fill the watering can. I took the watering can into the living room and noticed that the plants were dropping leaves. Well, if they would finally get their water I guess this wouldn’t happen.
So, I pick up the big leaves and went to get the vacuum out of the closet. I vacuumed the floor and then put the vacuum next to the couch so I can use it after I dust today. I picked up all the dry leaves that fell into the pots of each plant. I noticed that there were some branches that needed to be cut so i went to get the scissors.
While in the kitchen the coffeepot warned me it shut itself off. OH HECK NO !! I have NOT had enough coffee.This is the second pot but I NEED MORE!
So I turn the coffee pot back on and notice it was getting low. I pour the last cup into an empty cup and proceed to make another pot. I noticed that the filters were getting low so I find the “To Do and Shopping list” and put filters on it. Then I noticed that the “list” said drop off Rx at the Pharmacy. Well, I think that making the appointment for him at the doctor would help first. So, I call the doctors office to schedule his meds refill. Oops, lunch time for two.
I make the two different lunches and they are eating. Then the dryer “buzzes” loud enough for me jump. Off to the laundry room. So then I fill the basket and start folding and hanging clothes. Then I remember I made a nice hot pot of coffee so I go to refill. I pour, smell and taste. Mmmm, now that’s good ! (smile)
OK, where was I? Oh yeah, laundry. Now I take the piles to the appropriate rooms and collect towels for the next load. I run back to the laundry room and start a load of towels. I fill the “Downy Fabric Softener Ball”. Oh no, I’m almost out. I’ll have to remember to put that on the “List”. Laugh, yeah OK like that will happen. I decide to be safe and run to the kitchen to put it on the shopping list that is part of “THE List”.I normally have enough on hand so I never run out. That is something that is so important to daily life. LOL . Do you have one of these things? Don’t you love it? Clothes need fabric softener. I don’t want to use a towel that is “crispy and can stand alone in the corner”. Yes, I still use Bounce dryer sheets for static, but I need my Downy.
I needed more coffee so I walked over to the coffee pot and pour another. At this point I burst out laughing. Everyone asked what was so funny. I said “Oh just thought of something silly”. I turn my back and start walking to the living room. At this point I pick up the watering can and water the plants. I shake my head and giggle. It has been hours since I started to do this. I say out loud… ” Just a normal day”.
I haven’t said this in a very long time.. “I’m not making a homemade dinner”. They can have fast food or something from the freezer. They can all have a choice. With company visiting, everyone goes in different directions.

Amost done… boy I’m tired.
Ok, time for dinner. Turn it over on the plate, serve with a green salad ,and “Apple Bars” for dessert.
These two are fed. The rest will eat as they come in. It was a busy day for everyone.
The other dinners were…..
1 person had Grilled cheese and potato chips, bread and butter pickles
1 person had Large salad with turkey, swiss, tomatoes,etc
2 people had Campbell’s clam chowder soup with Ritz crackers
2 people had Marie Callender’s Pot Pies, salad
Everyone had Apple Bars for dessert.
