I have an over sized quilt that will only fit in an industrial washer…so I had to use the coin laundry.
This is what I heard today from two women while waiting for something at the laundry mat.
They were comparing which one of them had more money monthly, and the great cars they drive. One of them had four kids, and the other one had five and pregnant with another. Their jewelry was probably cost as much as a small car. Not kidding, it was real.
We were talking for about a couple hours while they did their laundry too. I honestly can’t imagine being on assistance for over 8 years. Are you telling me that you can’t find a job in eight years? You are getting free child care for what reason? Isn’t that so you can work? What the hell.
This is the things that they talked about.
1- the Gov pays for all their health care, dental, optical, orthodontic care (braces) birth control etc
2-the school pays for food for all their children on the weekends by putting food in their back packs.
3-they get complete free holiday meals ( Thanksgiving, Christmas etc. ) by just signing up.
4- they get free school supplies from a few organizations. Along with winter clothing etc.
5- kids get free breakfast and lunch at school.
6-they get discount on rent.
7- they get money for discounted on utilities.
8- they get free after school care. ( day care/babysitting)
9-they get free school clothes for children through certain organizations.
10-they get food stamps where they brag about steak and expensive seafood.
11-they get a free cell phone and free minutes. (NO not 911 only because they were talking to people on the phones.)
12-they get their nails, weaves and wigs with gov checks because boyfriend pays to support them. One of them actually called the other one “ghetto” because her boyfriend didn’t give her the same amount as her.
I worked my butt off with at least one job and sometimes two and three to pay my bills. I mean for YEARS. I never asked for a hand out.
Before anyone gets their knickers in a twist…. I am NOT talking about those who are down on their luck and NEED HELP. That is NOT what this post is about.
Why did this make me mad? I’m so sick of people out there needing help and not getting it. And then there are people like this that take advantage of the system.
