Lasagna for tomorrow because it’s National Lasagna Day (update… for today AND tomorrow they didn’t want to wait)

I am going to make two pans of lasagna today because tomorrow is National Lasagna Day. I would put the other pan in the freezer for an easy homemade dinner. I will update.

UPDATE…. I guess they are having lasagna today and tomorrow. That’s fine with me, throw a pan in the oven and POOF…dinner.

 

 

 

salads with your choice of dressings …………..(and without dressing for two)

*thinking to myself...Oh, I should have made homemade dressing. Yep, it’s time to make a Greek salad soon.

 

“He” even had a salad with many leafy greens. I know he didn’t want to but what kind of exsample would he be if he turned his nose up at it? (snicker)

this one almost fell off the cutting board while they were joking around.

You can see the steam come off of it as it was uncovered. Mmmmmmmm

Extra cheese of course

 

 

I have another pan for tomorrow and all I have to do is warm it in the oven, make garlic bread and salads again. But I was told that “he” feels like a rabbit eating weeds in the garden. (Poor baby… NOT). The men agreed and the rest of us shook our heads then quickly ignored them wiggling their noses when they talked to us.

I cooked the sauce for about 8 hours then threw the lasagna together and baked.

I don’t know of many people who TRULY cook from scratch. I don’t call opening a jar of sauce cooking from scratch. Is there anything wrong with it? OH HECK NO !!  My pantry if filled with jars of sauce and hundreds of uses for them and I DO. I’m just not posting recipes for this becasue I don’t think that anyone would want it.

(hangs head)….. I hope that didn’t sound mean. I’m not like that.

I use these noodles, I’m so old fashioned and very stuck in my ways.

When you find something that works you stick with it right?

Stop rubbing your eyes… I wasn’t wearing my glasses.   I warned you a long time that I do my own work and do NOT have a “staff”. LOL This is just living proof (smile)

Chunky chunky sauce that is going to be Perfect. (why the heck is it so bright red? It was a darker red so I don’t know what happened here.(shrugs shoulders)

 

I put this green stuff in ONE pan of lasagna because it is the only way that “he” will eat anything this dark green. (he thinks…shhhh)

I only tried it one time so far and I must say that it worked out great ON TOP

other choices that i had on hand… I don’t think I used this one. I think I put it in the freezer for another use.

I know I used this AND Ricotta cheese AND plain mozz.

 

*Slurp*….. look at that steam.

Let me know if you have a good recipe for lasagna and tell me if it is a family recipe or one you found online and you LOVE it. I’m always looking to try recipes.
