He came home with the super meat sale items and now its time for me to cut and freeze. I have so many posts about meat that I have probably bored you to death. Hey… I do throw in pretty photos every now and then. Here, just to make you smile. The sun is coming up, time for me to get to work. LOL
This is what I did today.
I will hurt him if he brings any more “deals” home until I get this bagged up and IN the freezer. Men…LOL
Nah… he is such a sweetie, I’ll keep him around for a while. (smile)
They were supposed to be the same size but I think I goofed on a couple. I scored them instead of just digging in. I guess it could have been worse LOL.
I make sure they are taken out of the freezer early in the morning and then by about 2 or 3:00 they are still firm inside and easier to cut.
I think that knife is older than I am. It wa first my mothers and her fathers before her. It does a great job cutting all these larger pieces of meat.
I think they came out ok. Not too thick and not too thin. Many meals.
A couple more before I start to hear you snore.
Even if I don’t use them for plain “steak”, I can use them for any recipe that calls for thinly sliced meat.
I love making steak salad with these. One steak will feed two people. thinking myself…… I think I will put that on the menu for this month.
Ok all done and ready for the Foodsaver and the freezer.
Here they are all sealed in with the FoodSaver. I put all of them in a box that has been labled. I made bags with One steak, some with Two, some Three etc etc.
