Chicken was on Sale at Kroger.

Kroger had a sale so you know what that means. Yep, he came home with more than one pack.

Now you all know what kind of a shopper he is. You know I had to buy another freezer right? Well he came home with enough Chicken to fill a chicken coop. Don’t laugh, I’m serious. We don’t have to buy much meat or poultry at this point. We stocked up in Oct and we are starting to run low on certain cuts. When you can buy in bulk it is so cheap.  He frightens how much he saves.  Don’t tell him but it is so nice to open the freezer and have a variety.

4 packs of  12 Chicken Thighs

4 packs of  4 “HUGE” Chicken Breasts ( with skin on bone)

4 packs of  12-14 Chicken legs

4 packs of 12 Chicken wings

Good thing I have a FoodSaver. I don’t know if my marriage could last without it. LOL

I already started to package these up and use the FoodSaver.

I froze 4 packs of 14 legs and then separated  about 4 other packs into bags of 4.  I do that with the packs of wings, thighs, breasts etc. It comes in handy when guests stop over and you can get a variety of parts for the BBQ grill. You’ll see this summer LOL. I think I should you the past summers too.

Above is my trusty FoodSaver. But I think it is time for a new one. This one is starting to give me trouble.

Here are some of the bags ready fort the freezer.

FoodSaver

No I do not get paid for this post

I use my FoodSaver at least once a day.

Do you have a FoodSaver? What model? Do you use it a lot? How often? Do you make your own bags or buy the ready made?

What, you think I’m nosey? Nope, I just need help deciding if I should get another one and what brand. Maybe I should wait for another model? HELP !!! LOL
