I had to buy more bags since I knew I would be freezing meat today. I think I bought every size of bags that they make and I think I did the same with the rolls of bags. ( laugh).
Pork chops on the bone . Some are thin cut, and some are thick. I did this in my cold room off the kitchen. It has commercial tables, cupboards and sinks. I don’t know what the prior owners used it for but it comes in handy so i don’t make a complete mess of the kitchen. I make a mess but not a complete mess ( smile ).
The thicker chops can be stuffed and baked without drying out.
This pork loin looks small but it isn’t. It will feed at least four for dinner . Even if I change my mind and “need” sliced loin.. I can slice this . It doesn’t have to be used a roast. I have enough cuts so this will probably be used as a roast.
I think these are the thinner ones paked by two.
I don’t want you to think that we do this all the time. It is so much cheaper to buy large amounts like this and freeze instead of having to buy from the grocery store at those crazy prices.
We love to BBQ throughout the whole year. Yes , even in the winter. It is nice to be able to throw extra food on the grill when someone stops over without warning. No, it doesn’t happen a lot but everyone is welcome at any time. Meat bagged up in single servings comes in handy to throw something extra on the grill.
Whether it is steak, burgers, hot dogs, pork chops, sausage, chicken, ribs, roasts…. its nice to have a choice.
