Who is ready for a snack?
Let me get you something to drink with your cookies.
Would you like milk, coffee or tea? I’ll just bring it all, how’s that?
OK… who couldn’t wait?
Tea is nice and hot, help yourself to the sugar, cream, or lemon.
the buttah………..
now whip it………….
with the sugars…………
.adding the regular sugar to the brown sugar and buttah………..
Whip that “bad boy”…………….
now add the eggs……. one at a time…….
.
Now it’s time to add the vanilla……… ( I like extra)
Mix it a little…………
Add the dry “stuff” in a bowl…………….
Can’t you just smell the cinnamon ? ( Oh, I like extra cinn too)
Now wisk it up so they are combined…..
now add the dry “stuff” to the wet “stuff”…….
.let it snow, let it snow, let it snow ! ( anyone that has ever added flour to a miving bowl while on… knows what I am talking about)
After you clean up the “snow”…. continue to mix and it will look like the picture below.
Now add the oatmeal SLOWLY (snicker)
When it gets thick and the mixer sounds like it is going to die….. Stop it and take it off. Continue to mix by hand. If your mixer is a very strong one… continue
Now lets add some raisins at this point. You shouldn’t use a mixer after mixing the flour into the wet ingredients but as I have said before…. I am a rebel. ( laugh )
Now use a scoop or spoon and place them on a cookie sheet to bake. You can use your hand to smash them a little IF IT SEEMS LIKE A THICK DOUGH.
.
*pacing back and worth waiting for the timer to go off*
This is what they look like when done. I needed some that were softer than others so I cooked some for 8 mins, some for 11 mins, and some for 13 mins. ( don’t ask LOL)
.
Here….. smell them !!
Yes, they made it to the cooling rack. ( for a short period)
Yep, long enough to fill them and then pack them up.
Now who is ready for a refill? Here is the milk…
More tea too! Now let’s sit , talk and enjoy !
Here is another plate of cookies.
