What do you do when you try a recipe and it was absolutely disgusting?

I tried a recipe and it sooo blah. I should have known when there were only about 5 ingredients.

The reviews were good, so many liked it. I have been cooking over 50 years…this was GROSS.

It took so much to make it edible.

I find it hard to believe that the family requests it so often. Are they used to junk food or stuff from the freezer?

I really don’t get it.

 

I should have known but wanted something that I could put in the slow cooker/crock-pot and forget it while I was so busy. It’s a shame because I made another one a few days ago that was soooo good.

 

I don’t like to hurt feelings but I want to save people from trying it. I don’t want anyone wasting money on these ingredients.

 

It really was disgusting, it was a cross between canned dog food and bottled glue.
