Brrrr…… it’s a day for “Chili”

 

Everyone eats their chili differently. Some people like it in a bowl,  some like it on a baked potato with cheese and chopped onion, and one person likes chili in the bowl with pieces of baked potato and chopped onion around the edges. She changes her mind every time she eats it, the rest eat it the same way every time.

 

 

 

 

 

( okay its not very cold yet, but it’s a “Chili Day” anyway)

I made this chili last week or the week before and I froze it. I didn’t cook it 100% so that it could cook the rest of the way when placed in the slow cooker.

All I had to do was take the bag (or bags in this case) and put them in the slow cooker on low all night.

I told you that my photos are REAL and not staged and this is proof. Food splashed on the Slow Cooker (Kenmore). After all …… it is cooking and I am stirring, there SHOULD be a mess. (smile)

It was cooking all night, now its just staying warm for about an hour and then I will shut it off. I will turn it back on about 1:00 so it’s hot for dinner. Everyone will eat on their own time today.

And now I need to freeze the chili again now that it is cooked completely and all spices are in it. I will now have two meals of chili in the freezer for the future.
