They made it in a loaf pan for bread lined with foil . I think it was made with pork maybe. You slice it and lay it on the bread or try spearing it. ( Don&#8217;t laugh at me, my memory is going but I&#8217;m not THAT bad YET. (what was I talking about?)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><em><strong><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">When Grandmother told us the name, it SOUNDED like&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.Grit-tahh<\/span>.( I could have this word all wrong it could be something totally different.)<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><em><strong>She spoke a lot of french but I don&#8217;t think this was french.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">I was so young I never watched them or asked later in life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Please help me&#8230;.. What was it? Do you have YOUR family recipe for it? Please help this old lady.
